Mozilla Update :: Extensions -- More Info:Forumzilla - All Releases: "Forumzilla - Thunderbird Extension

Forumzilla 0.5.3, by Myk Melez, released on May 31, 2005
Quick Description

Forumzilla is an extension to Thunderbird and Mozilla Mail for reading news and blog web sites in your email application. It lets you read news stories and blog posts using the familiar three-pane mail interface and sports the following features: * downloads stories to any folder in any POP, IMAP, or local mail account (configurable per feed); * lets you use all the features of Thunderbird and Mozilla Mail--like filters, labels, searches, and views--to manage stories; * displays entire stories or just summaries (configurable per feed); * downloads stories automatically every 30 minutes or on another schedule you specify (configurable per feed); * imports OPML feed lists (a.k.a blog rolls); * supports all versions of RSS (0.9, 1.0, 2.0) plus Atom.

This version: * fixes the bug that caused temp files not to be deleted on Windows; * fixes a number of bugs that caused duplicate stories; * significantly improves OPML import, which now works for hierarchical OPML files and importing to an IMAP account; * brings back the 'view in browser' link for Seamonkey users; * fixes a number of bugs in the folder pickers in the Subscriptions and Preferences dialog boxes; * adds a margin to story content for added readability; * fixes the bug that caused feeds to sometimes download into the wrong folder when you first subscribe to them; * fixes the bug where the title of the feed wouldn't appear in the title field of the feed subscriptions window."
